HIS STORY

Its been a tiring day, all he needed was a cold beer
He was driving down from the station, the sun was setting
It was a beautiful evening looking at the skies but...............
He was in no mood matched with anything nice at the moment
He saw her today....as much as he wanted to cuss he held back
His ex with her fiance driving down odell drive making out in traffic
"She never was a PDA type" he thought, what the hell was that??
The memories came back, he remembered that horrid day......
He had come back from a stake out, his partner got shot
He was trying to deal with the whole debriefing and then......
She called, Let me call u right back babe, No wait she said
This cant wait,  I'm sorry but cant do this nmore Peter!!!
The silence and den the dial tone , she had dropped the call..
He rushed back to debrief and got time off to rush home
He got home, his heart was ripped, the rage came like lightning
He tried to call her cell but she wont pick up!!! Cld his day get any worse??
How cld she walk out and give up on everything? How cld she loose faith?
No, I wont do this he said, he parked his car and had to take a deep breath
Its been 3 years and this rage is just as bad everytime he remembers her.......
He had given his whole life to make sure he did right........
He made sure he was on the right side of the law by becoming a cop
He tried to provide and make everyone happy, even if it broke his back
He might not be the guys on wall street or the white house but dammit.......
"I have a heart and I made sure I gave u all even if it meant I had NOTHING"
He looked up and the sun was almost out of radar, he got himself together
And drove towards Maggie's bar, that cold beer was a necessity at this point
As he pulled into the parking lot, some of his colleagues were leaving the bar
He exchanged pleasantries and he walked in ......................
The bar was all foggy, cigars and the heat all a mix this was Maggies!!!!
He sat at the bar, ordered a cold beer and as he waited to be served............
His eye caught her, in a bar full of  mostly frustated men he thot to himself
What would such a lady be doing in here? ok maybe she was a new employee
But even at that, he just could not comprehend such innocence in the bar.......
She walked to the bar and asked to speak to the manager.................
Just as he wanted to approach her, she was asked to meet the manager!!!
What in the world is going on? He could not shake off this uneasy feeling
Ill hang around he decided!!

HER STORY!!

She tried to speak, but her lips wont move
She tried to reach but her hands wouldnt move
She tried everything but nothing seemed to work
Where do I go, Who do I call she asked????
She tried to walk, but her knees caved in............
She crawled, she saw the light but it was only a bleak
Her eyes were blurred, her lips chapped.............
She cld taste the blood, she felt the dust............
Yet alone on the lonely path, she made up her mind to move
The pain was excruciating, her will was daunted.............
She wanted to give up, Who cared anyways............
Maybe sumone wld help, seeing her helpless
Maybe not, whats the guarantee she aint a street whore
Probably trying to steal and got beat up..........
She flinched in pain, the wind was fierce ................
The streets were lonely and the night cld not av been darker
As she crawled, she heard voices and she lay still
The wind tossed her hair, the voices were closer.....
Footsteps!!! sounded like drunks and dey moved past her
She laid lifeless on the ground, as they walked on
She moved and they stopped, the noise???
She caught her breath, and cld hear them.............
Dear lord was all she cld say and she felt the foot......
The foot tapped her and then turned her over..........
There in the dark, she recognized the voice
She had no strength to move and surrendered to death
A hand grabbed on her hair and dragged her up
These hoodlums were thirsty and hungry for her
Drunk and sweating of Alchohol.....................
All she cld mutter was Lord let this night END!!
Then.................
A bark echoed, den a flash light....It was HIM
As he walked, the keys and links on his belt clanked
He walked towards them and as he approached the scene
They ran, and she slumped back on the ground...........
He let loose his dog as it chased after them...............
He ran towards her and gathered her to him.........
He shook her, but she felt numb, Miss he said
She thot she heard him, She opened her eyes but...........
She saw nothing, the stars in the skies seemed like Dots
She saw darkness and den it became real BLACK OUT!!!
